Legal route to Germany

To work as a registered nurse you need a licence from the responsible German state authority. General care nursing qualifications from EU countries are usually recognised automatically under Directive 2005/36/EC. Depending on when you trained, the authority checks your documents individually. A German certificate, normally B2, is also required.
