What you need
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- An active PRC nursing licence
- Work experience as a nurse is an advantage
- Willingness to learn German up to level B2
- A valid passport
Legal route to Germany
The responsible German state authority compares your BSN with German nurse training. You then complete an adaptation course or a knowledge test and receive your licence as a registered nurse.
Through a recognition partnership (§ 16d (3) of the German Residence Act) you can start working in Germany before recognition is complete, with at least A2 German and a job contract. For the full licence, B2 German is normally required.
You apply for your visa at the German Embassy in Manila. Before you leave, you also complete your processing with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW). We help you with both.
